A 44-year-old hog farmer from Earlville has been sentenced to life in prison for using a corn rake to kill his wife. Todd Mullis won’t have the possibility of parole. Mullis maintains his innocence even after the Friday sentencing hearing. Prosecutors told the court Mullis was furious that his wife, 39-year-old Amy Mullis, was having an affair. They said he was afraid he would lose his farm if she divorced him. A forensic pathologist says she was impaled on the corn rake in Novermber 2018 on their family farm near Earlville.
