A kitchen fire is believed to be the cause of a Monday morning blaze at a home on Central Avenue in Dubuque. Firefighters were called to the residence around 8:45 and blocked off a section of Central Avenue. No injuries were reported – however, officials say four residents have been displaced. According to a report, the two-story home had an addition on the back side of it. The fire started in that addition and then spread to the structure’s rafters. Officials said the interior of the addition will need to be re-done given the amount damage it sustained. Crews left the scene around 10am – a little more than an hour after arriving.
