Residents Displaced By Fire At Apartment on Montrose Terrace

A fire damaged an apartment on Montrose Terrace Wednesday morning in Dubuque. The Dubuque Fire Department was called to an apartment on Montrose Terrace shortly before 6 a.m. for a report of a fire in a basement.  Crews extinguished the fire, which was located in a lower-level kitchen area of the residence. There were no injuries reported The fire closed a stretch of  Loras Boulevard for approximately two-and-a-half hours. Reports say as many as four people were displaced from the apartment damaged by the fire. The adjacent apartments were being evaluated this morning.  Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
