Dubuque County Man Threatens Girl

An Asbury man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly threatened a girl with a knife. Dubuque County officials arrested 51-year-old John Ryan Sunday night on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. He was also arrested on warrants that charge 4^th-degree theft and violating a no-contact order. According to reports, deputies with the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home in Asbury on Sunday night regarding a disturbance. Authorities say the 10-year-old girl told law enforcement officers Ryan held a knife to her hand and made threats.
