Father and Son Arrested For Assault

A father and son are accused of assaulting another man in Dubuque. 25 year old Kieffer Helbing and his father, 55 year old Patrick Helbing were both arrested Monday and charged with assault with injury. Reports say the Helbings assaulted 23 year old Nicholas Rogers of Dubuque on August 14th. Rogers had been golfing with Kieffer Helbing during the afternoon of August 14th and was sleeping at Helbing’s residence that night when he was awakened by two friends. Rogers said when he woke up, he also woke up Kieffer Helbing, who became upset, punching Rogers in the face and causing him to fall to the floor and start bleeding. Patrick Helbing then came upstairs and kicked Rogers in the head while he was on the floor.
