Students at Northeast Iowa Community College might see a slight increase in their tuition rates during the coming academic year as the community college works to offset rising operating costs. The college’s Board of Trustees on Monday approved an increase of up to $6 per credit hour for all students for the fiscal year that begins July 1. The board plans to decide whether tuition will increase by the full $6 by late March. NICC’s current tuition rates are $176 per credit hour for Iowa students, $200 per credit hour for out-of-state students and $215 per credit hour for international students. Student fees will stay the same at $24 per credit hour.
