Platteville Police say a fight that started in the Walmart parking lot ended with a person going to the hospital. Authorities were called about 9:15 p.m. Friday for a fight in progress at Walmart. While police were responding, officers received another call regarding an injured male in the nearby Menards parking lot. That person had a stab wound to his torso and a significant injury to his leg. During their investigation, police learned the two events were related. The injured male was taken to Southwest Health for treatment. The Platteville Police Department is asking anyone who witnessed the incidents Friday night, in the Walmart or Menards parking lots, to contact authorities at 608 – 348 – 2313.
