The Dubuque County Conservation Board has invited world class birder Kelly McKay to conduct a third Building Better Birders workshop at the Swiss Valley Nature Center on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Birder Kelly McKay will present all there is to know about Iowa Raptors. Raptors are known for their ability to capture live prey with an array of tools such as razor-sharp talons and hooked beaks. Eagles, hawks, kites, falcons, and owls are all considered raptors. Vultures are often considered raptors as well. Registration is required for the program. Call 563-556-6745 to register.
