Two men from Romania will spend 10 months in federal prison for placing card skimmers and pinhole cameras on 3 ATMs in Dubuque. 30-year-old Stefan Busoi and 29-year-old Razvan Diculescu pled guilty to possession of the device-making equipment. The US Attorney’s Office says 183 people used the ATMs while the skimmers were in place during June 2020. Law enforcement and bank employees found the skimmers and cameras. Prosecutors say Busoi and Diculescu were arrested when they returned for the skimmers. Both men were in the US illegally on fraudulent Greek passports.
