The trial for a former Manchester hospital official has been pushed back to February. Mike Briggs’ pre-trial conference is now set for January 21st in Delaware County District Court, with a jury trial scheduled to start February 5th . The trial was originally scheduled for December 4th. Briggs is the former System Fund Development Director at Regional Medical Center. This past summer, he and former CEO Lon Butikofer were charged with First Degree Theft stemming from a State of Iowa Auditor’s report released in February which showed reimbursements for meals and mileage were for personal activities. Briggs has pleaded not guilty. He remains free on bond. Butikofer has pleaded guilty, with his trial set for December 3rd.
