A northeast Iowa judge has agreed to delay sentencing for a Delaware County man who has been convicted of killing his wife with a corn rake. Todd Mullis of Earlville faces life in prison after being found guilty of 1st-degree murder in the death of his wife Amy at their farm last year. The judge has set a sentencing hearing for March 17th – which is more than two weeks after the extended deadline for attorneys to file any post-trial motions. An attorney for Todd Mullis has already filed a motion for a new trial alleging prosecutorial misconduct. A hearing on that motion is scheduled for December 17th.
