Dyersville Man Arrested For Burglary

A Dyersville man was arrested recently on charges related to a burglary in Farley last fall. According to police reports, 42-year-old Thomas Smith faces charges of 3rd-degree burglary. Investigators used surveillance footage to help identify Smith as the potential culprit. Officials say Smith broke into Brick Haus Bar and Grill in mid-September last year. Police reports show that more than $16-hundred dollars’ in damage was done to a door and equipment inside the bar. Items reported stolen included a laptop and almost $13-hundred dollars in cash. Smith was also arrested for a parole violation for an unrelated case.
