Bond at $2 Million for Dubuque Man

The Dubuque man – charged with murdering a woman who was found dead in her home last month – is being held on $2-million dollars bond. Authorities charged 60-year-old Mark Fishler with 1st-degree murder on Thursday in connection to the death of 80-year-old Berniece Williamson. His bond on that charge was set at a hearing in Dubuque County Friday morning. An autopsy showed Williamson died from multiple blunt force trauma injuries to the head. Fishler was already being held at the Dubuque County Jail on unrelated charges of arson and possession of meth when authorities brought forward the murder charge. Police say that the investigation is ongoing.
