Drunk Driver Caught Going Almost 85mph Near Fennimore

Reports of a reckless driver in Grant County led to a Fennimore man being arrested for drunk driving. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says their dispatch center was alerted to a reckless driver going south on Highway 61 towards Fennimore around 3p Sunday afternoon. Multiple agencies – including Fennimore Police and the Wisconsin State Patrol – responded to the area. A Grant County sheriff’s deputy spotted the vehicle and clocked it going almost 85 mph. Authorities pulled the vehicle over and, after an investigation, 42-year-old Octavio Ramirez Hernandez was arrested for 2nd offense operating while intoxicated. He was also cited for speeding.
