Dubuque Woman Dies From Injuries In Motorcycle Crash

A Dubuque woman has died as a result of serious injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash on Saturday. 54 year old Marleen Goodin of Dubuque was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by 57 year old Thomas Hermsen of Kieler. Reports say both were seriously injured and taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City for treatment. The crash occurred at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 250th Street and 220th Avenue west of Delhi. A report states that Hermsen was driving a motorcycle north on 220th Avenue with Goodin as a passenger. Hermsen failed to stop at the intersection and lost control of the bike. Both Hermsen and Goodin were thrown from it and came to rest on the shoulder of the road.
