Donation Collection Dates For Refugees

A Dubuque church is holding a pair of collection events next week to gather supplies for Afghan refugees stationed at Fort McCoy. In a release, officials at New Life Church say they’ll accept donations September 28th and 30th (next Tues and Thurs) from 5 til 7p. They stress that all items must be new. Among the items being sought – fall clothing for men, women and children. They’re asking for modest, unbranded clothing – like shirts, pants, socks and shoes for all ages and sizes. Additional items include health and hygiene products such as bars of soap, shampoo, deodorant, tooth-paste, tooth-brushes, and towels. Again, donations can be dropped off September 28th and 30th from 5 til 7p at New Life Church on South Grandview Heights in Dubuque.
