A 40-year-old Dubuque man will spend more than a decade in federal prison after pleading guilty to drug charges. The sentence for Alan Julson was handed down on Wednesday. He previously pled guilty to a charge of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Police say Julson dealt more than 11 pounds of meth around Dubuque from 2018 to 2019. Following his 10 year prison term, Julson must also serve 5 years of supervised release.
