Lancaster Police have announced that a convicted sex offender will be placed in the community early next month. According to a release, Mack Rimson is scheduled to be put in temporary housing on West Elm Street in Lancaster November 2. He’ll be under supervision by agents from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections until 2026, and he’ll be on GPS monitoring for life. Rimson was previously convicted of sex-based crimes in 2012 and 2013. Lancaster Police remind citizens this notification is not intended to cause fear, but that an informed public is a safer public.
