Woman From Bellevue Wins $30,000 From Iowa Lottery

A woman from Bellevue has won $30,000 on an Iowa Lottery game. 70 year old Peggy Hayes won the second top prize on the lottery’s “$30,000 Holiday Crossword” scratch game. She bought the ticket at Bormann’s Neighborhood Pitstop in Bellevue. A release from the lottery says, “Once she realized it was a big winner, she woke up her son and asked him to check it, then took the ticket to a nearby store to have an employee verify the win on the store’s lottery terminal.”
