A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a vehicle Saturday afternoon in Dubuque. 27 year old Keeley Hammel of Dubuque was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of her injuries. According to Dubuque police, a vehicle driven by 22 year old Larry Zimmerman of Dubuque, and Hammel’s motorcycle were traveling west in the 600 block of University Avenue at around 2:30p.m. when Zimmerman pulled over to allow a bus to fit on the roadway. Zimmerman pulled back into the roadway, causing a collision with Hammel’s motorcycle. Zimmerman was cited with operating a vehicle without a registration card or plate and unsafe starting of a stopped vehicle and Hammel was cited with failure to provide proof of financial liability.
