A vote to name a new mayor of East Dubuque will wait until next week — at least. City Council members were set to consider the selection of a replacement for former Mayor Kirk VanOstrand at this week’s meeting, but the meeting was moved to Monday, November 8th. Longtime Council Member Randy Degenhardt, who was appointed as mayor pro tempore following VanOstrand’s resignation, will continue in that position for another week.
