No Handgun Or Ammunition Found At School

Authorities say there was no threat to the public following a report that a handgun magazine had been found at Western Dubuque High School on Thursday evening. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department and other law enforcement agencies responded at about 7:30 p.m. to the high school for a report of a found handgun magazine with live ammunition. School officials ended a program at the campus and asked attendees to leave the building.  Authorities found that no weapon had entered the campus.
