Three Juveniles Part of Police Chase

Law enforcement officials had to use spike strips to stop a vehicle that authorities pursued from Asbury to Galena. According to a report, police apprehended three juveniles early Monday following the chase. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle around 2am in Asbury and a pursuit ensued when the driver failed to pull over. Authorities continued to chase the vehicle until a spike strip was deployed along Highway 20 outside of Galena. Police say two of the three juveniles were apprehended right away, while the third fled the scene on foot and was brought into custody with the help of a K9 officer. Law enforcement reported finding drugs in the vehicle. Neither the names of those involved, nor details on possible charges, have not been released at this time.
