Authorities pursued a speeding driver from Dubuque into Illinois and Wisconsin on Monday night before apprehending him outside of Galena. 22 year old Adam Reinert of Dubuque is in the Jo Daviess County Jail on charges related to the pursuit. According to the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department, deputies stopped Reinert for speeding on Dodge Street at about 9:30 p.m. Reinert, with two passengers, then drove away from the traffic stop, and deputies initiated their pursuit. Reinert led authorities across the Julien Dubuque Bridge into Illinois and traveled along Badger Road and was briefly in Wisconsin. Authorities from Dubuque and Jo Daviess counties apprehended Reinert on Highway 84 near U.S. Highway 20. Additional charges are pending.
