Dubuque Woman Dies in Crash

A Dubuque woman is dead after a driver ran a red light at the intersection of 5th Street and Central Avenue Sunday afternoon. According to Dubuque Police, 32-year-old Branden Authement of Dubuque was driving south on Central and failed to stop at the light. His vehicle stuck a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Anthony Livens of Dubuque. A passenger in Liven’s vehicle – 54-year-old Nancy Meisenburg – was taken to Mercy One Medical Center and later died from her injuries. Livens was also taken to Mercy One with serious injuries. Police say Authement was initially taken to Unity Point Finley Hospital and later transferred to University of Iowa Hospital. The crash is under investigation.
