A Dubuque man was hurt in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday in East Dubuque. Authorities say 38-year-old Ryan Gansemer had to be taken to Mercy One Dubuque Medical Center for treatment of his injuries – however, officials did not indicate the severity of Gansemer’s injuries. The crash happened about 8am along Highway 20 near Timmerman Drive. According to a report, 50-year-old Frederick Brenke of Dubuque was stopped and waiting to turn onto Timmerman Drive. His vehicle was rear-ended by Gansemer. The force of that crash pushed Brenke’s vehicle into the back of a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Joan McCleary of East Dubuque. Gansemer was cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash. A section of Highway 20 was closed for about an hour.
