Dubuque City Council Primary Set

Dubuque voters will have a primary this spring in the race to fill a city council vacancy. A third candidate has filed to run for the Ward 4 seat – previously held by Brad Cavanagh. Cavanagh stepped down from that position after he was elected Mayor of Dubuque last fall. The latest candidate to join the race is Katy Wethal. She joins Tim Flynn and Erik Kronstedt in their bids for the Ward 4 council seat. Candidates have until February 4th to file papers. A primary will be March 1st with the special election on March 29th.
