A Dubuque man will spend more than 9 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to gun charges. Reports show 33-year-old Christopher Evans enter a plea deal on charges of possession of a firearm by a felon. Dubuque Police say Evans was fleeing officers in September 2020 when he struck a vehicle. Following the crash, Evans continued to run from police on foot while trying to dispose of a loaded gun, marijuana and $14-thousand dollars in cash. He was eventually arrested. His sentence also includes 3 years of supervised release.
