More details have been released regarding a hunting accident from this past weekend in Jo Daviess County. Officials with the Illinois DNR say 40-year-old Brian Busker of Scales Mound was fatally shot on Saturday afternoon. According to a report, Busker was in a hunting party with 10 others who were doing a deer drive south of Galena near Tippett Road. During the drive, Busker was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. The Illinois Conservation Police, Illinois State Police and Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office say they’re continuing to investigate the shooting and determine which member of the party fired the fatal shot.
