Man stabbed another during disturbance in Dubuque

Police said a man stabbed another during a disturbance in Dubuque. 45-year-old Denona Ward Jr. of Dubuque, was arrested shortly after midnight Thursday at his residence on charges of going armed with intent and domestic assault. Court documents state that Ward stabbed 38-year-old Tobias C. Sarazan, of Dubuque, during a disturbance at Ward’s residence. Sarazan was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of injuries to his left hand, documents state. Ward also assaulted another occupant of his residence during the disturbance. The victim of this assault told police that Ward had grabbed a kitchen knife and slashed at Sarazan’s left hand multiple times.
