If you have an exotic pet that you can no longer care for or need to rehome, you have an opportunity Saturday to take care of them. J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue is hosting a Exotic Pet Surrender Event in Lancaster. John Moyles, the Founder and Director of J&R walked us through what the event looks like:
J&R has been hosting these events since their inception, and what started as only a few events a year has become around 40 a year. Moyles explained why these events are important:
The exotic pet surrender event is taking place Saturday from noon until 3 PM at the Grant County Fairgrounds in the Eckstein building. Animals accepted include fish, reptiles, birds, small mammals, and invertebrates, as well as non-native plants. There will not be pets available for adoption during the event.
