Iowa Rep. Shannon Lundgren of Peosta, announced Monday that she will drop out of the race for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District. She plans to focus on her continuing work in the Iowa Legislature. Lundgren launched her congressional campaign in September. Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District seat is open following Republican U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson’s announcement to run for U.S. Senate last fall.
