The Rolling Stones have added another major achievement to their six-decade career. Billboard reports that Foreign Tongues debuted at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart after selling 48,500 copies in its opening week.
The publication also reports that the album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 7 with 53,000 equivalent album units. The debut gives the band its 39th Top 10 album on the chart, extending its record for the most Top 10 albums in Billboard 200 history.
Foreign Tongues also reached the Top 10 on several additional album rankings, including charts focused on vinyl sales, rock music and alternative music. The results reflect continued demand for the band’s new releases across both physical and streaming formats.
Released on July 10, the album follows the band’s 2023 studio release, Hackney Diamonds. It includes new recordings, appearances by guest musicians and a track featuring late drummer Charlie Watts.
The album has also performed strongly outside the United States, reaching No. 1 in the United Kingdom and matching another long-standing chart milestone there.
