Dubuque Man Involved In Crash That Killed Waukon Native

Authorities say a Dubuque man was involved in a crash in which a motorcyclist was killed. 32 year old Cody Bauer of Dubuque was operating a vehicle pulling a trailer north on Highway 76 and Sandhill Road in Waukon around 7pm Wednesday, when the vehicle left the roadway to make a U-turn to head southbound. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a motorcycle operated by 60 year old Kerry Nuehring of Waukon was also traveling north on Highway 76 and struck the trailer pulled by Bauer’s vehicle. Nuehring was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating the crash.
