A northeastern Iowa man was killed over the weekend in a farm-related accident. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says 63-year-old Stephen Miller of rural Maquoketa was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday afternoon. The sheriff’s reports shows that Miller was filling a fertilizer application tank, which was hooked to a tractor. Deputies say that the tractor slipped into gear and Miller was run over by the rear wheels of the machinery. The tractor continued on its own until hitting a machine shed. Emergency personnel from Maquoketa assisted at the scene.
